Swifty is a Type 1 postscript laser font created using Fontographer 3.2. It is based on the work of Edweard Muybridge, a photographer who lived during the late 1800's. Swifty is not a conventional alphabet, but a collection of symbols of a human figure walking, running, jumping, etc. The characters are arranged in such a way that the keyboard will type a series of movements when a row of keys is pressed from left to right, such as "12345..." or "qwerty..."
Included with Swifty is a HyperCard stack which shows one of the ways the font can be used. You can also change the font in a document to Swifty and get a dance party. Or you can use Swifty to create cool borders or unusual bullets. Use your imagination!
This folder should contain:
1) A suitcase with the bitmap (screen font) of Swifty in 24 point size. This should be installed into your system using Font/DA Mover 3.8 or higher, or you can install the font using Suitcase II or Master Juggler.
2) The printer (outline) font generated by Fontographer 3.2 called "Swift". This should be copied into the System Folder and remain "loose" (not in an individual folder) to provide download capability. If using Suitcase II or Master Juggler, follow the instructions in the manual for installing downloadable printer fonts.
3) A small HyperCard 1.2.5 stack called "Swifty Stack". You will need the HyperCard application to view this.
4) This "About Swifty" TeachText document.
